Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I will admit to eating these for breakfast, telling a lie that the oatmeal makes them healthy. HA!

Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies.

1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 stick butter
1/4 c. crisco
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp salt.
2 eggs.
2 c. oatmeal
1.5 c. chocolate chips
2 c. flour

Mix first 7 ingredients in Kitchen Aide mixer until smooth. Add oatmeal and mix well. Add desired amount of chocolate chips. I find that 1.5 cups is a good amount. Funny enough, my Granny used to hand place 3 chocolate chips onto each cookie once on the tray. Not much of a sweet tooth. Back to the recipe.....Add two cups of flour and mix thoroughly.

Spoon batter onto cookie sheets, balls should be about 1" in diameter. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Enjoy!

Monsters

It's official, we have monsters in our closets and under the beds! They come in many different shapes and sizes. At all times of the night they 'neak from their hiding places in brothers room to 'boo' you.

One calls itself Tootie. He's a tricky one, starting off white and turning to many different colors. He laughs.

His friend, the Goblin is white and round with red eyes! He has ten feet and can run really fast. He peeks out of things and says, 'Boo!' You must feed him chicken nuggets to keep him happy.

Beware of the Octadogger, an eight-sided monster with 10 HANDS! Scarily enough, he eats his hands. His diet consists of ''loca milk'' a rare and mysterious substance.

Use all caution when approaching any of these monsters. It is advised to run from them quickly and seek shelter in a parents bed. Do NOT agree to return for a minimum of three hours.

Trent

Handsome little man.

How big you've gotten.

Beautiful slate blue eyes and honey hair.

Little words escape your mouth

First tentative steps on wobbly legs.

Games of tilt your head.

Giggles and squeals at sisterly love.

Perfect little fingers and toes

Cuddle me with your warmth.

Always.

Love
